About Us
 Barbara J. Wood has been baking since she was a young child. When she went to college she was disappointed because there was no place to bake. She is known for her pies, cupcakes, Christmas cookies, and cheesecakes. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Home Economics Education. As a young wife she baked a homemade dessert every week for her husband, Gary. Barb takes desserts everywhere she goes, to church, to parties, and to potlucks. People always say to her, "You need to sell this!" So, she baked up Pizazz Sweets! |

Gary L. Wood DVM loves desserts, preferably anything made with dark chocolate and slathered with mounds of whipped cream! He is a board certified veterinary cardiologist who owns a veterinary hospital. He is a seasoned businessman, an astute financial investor, and a cherished asset at Pizazz Sweets.
Barbara and Gary have been sweethearts since high school, and have been married for forty years. They have been in business together for many years. Even though Pizazz Sweets serves a variety of desserts, Gary affectionately calls Barbara, 'The Cupcake Lady", and she calls him, "Mr. Cupcake". On a challenging day, they call the business, "Cupcake Wars", named after the popular Food Network program which Barbara watches faithfully.
